Welcome to my blog!

In exactly 39 days, I’ll be leaving the stability of my coddling Italian family and full-time job for a solo adventure down under. No steady paychecks, no rent-free living arrangements, no familiar faces, and a heck of a long ass plane ride.

For years I’ve dreamt of travelling to Australia. Friends have gone for teacher’s college and others for work, both returning with exciting stories and bible-long reasons for why I should check it out. I decided the only way to see through with it was to book a flight… and I did… 8 months before the departure date. This gave me the time to collect my thoughts, plan ahead and set a budget. Let the countdown begin!

The purpose of this blog is not simply for sharing pictures and cataloguing my Australian getaway. I want to share tips on how to get around and get the most bang for your buck while scoping the scenery, as well as review the neighborhood hostels and hot spots.
